Jamshedpur, Oct 20: Supreme Court today deferred the hearing on city-based Incab Industries Limited by four weeks.
Legal sources said the judges needed some time to hear the case.
K.V. Viswanathan, senior counsel for Sashi Agarwal , the earlier Resolution Professional ( RP) informed the court that the RP is not even allowed to take further assignments by the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India ( IBBI).
Advocate S.K.Mohanty alongwith a senior counsel Akhilesh Srivastava appeared for 277 workmen of the ailing company.
” The case will be listed before the Supreme Court after four weeks on a non-miscellaneous day, ” said advocate Mohanty.
In legal parlance, Monday and Friday are miscellaneous days in Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, company sources said the Kolkata bench of the National Company Law Tribunal ( NCLT ) has fixed the next date of hearing on November 8.
NCLT is dealing with the case and had earlier this year appointed Pankaj Tibrewal as the new Resolution Professional by removing Shashi Agarwal.
Three private entities including Tata Steel Long Products Limited had evinced interest and filed their expression of interest for the company’s takeover.
