Ranchi, Oct 10: State government on Monday had a jolt after the Supreme Court of India dismissed the special leave petition (SLP) of Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC).
JSSC had filed SLP after Jharkhand High Court rebuked the recruitment agency for delaying the appointment process due to an amendment in reservation policy after declaration of recruitment test result in 2015 allowing a petition of a candidate Ranjeet Prabhakar challenging the delay.
Under the amendment several castes of BC-2 including Sundi were included in BC-1 and thus recruitment results prepared on the basis of old reservation policy were held up.
The apex court upheld the Jharkhand High Court order saying candidates who appeared in the recruitment test had nothing to take with change in reservation policy.
