S.P.(rural) Naushad Alam confirmed the incident but expressed his inability to give any conclusive statement in the matter.

“The reason behind the explosion is being ascertained. A FSL team has been deputed there,” S.P(rural) Naushad said.

One who died in the incident was Sanju Kumar Mallick. The injured include Moinuddin and Manik. Both have been admitted to a private hospital on Ring Road.

Officer-in-charge of BIT OP Sumit Kumar after primary investigation said: “It was tanker to carry oil that it used to clean engine. It was empty. It had come for repairing.
