Ramgarh, Feb 3: Under the Integrated Micro Watershed Project, Tata Steel Foundation, West Bokaro organised a two-day exposure visit for farmers in the Churchu block of Hazaribag on Thursday.
The event is being organised through Churchu Nari Urja Farmer Producer Company Limited (CNUFPCL) in collaboration with CINI of Tata Trusts.
During the visit, the farmers got field experience in production clusters, management of yellow houses, protective farming through net houses, nursery rearing, livestock (pig and goat rearing enterprises), lac farming and lac value chain model.
Also, the concept seeding on the functioning of Farmers Samagra Farmer Producer Company, production cluster approach, integration of irrigation, marketing, the role of BOD, the role of CEO, demand generation, enhancement of yield, stakeholder linkages and operation in FPC for farmers of Gram Panchayats.
The possibilities of joining were discussed with the Board of Directors (BOD) of CNUFCL. On this occasion, Keshav Ranjan, Unit Head, TSF discussed with the farmers and said that they should try to implement whatever information related to agriculture has been provided in this program in their area also, Tata Steel Foundation will have full cooperation in this.
Around 20 farmers from Duru Kasmar (Berwa Tola) and Basantpur villages participated in this tour.
