Jamshedpur, Jan 30: In a bid to assess the security of the railway passengers, the director general of Railway police, Anil Palta visited Tatanagar station on Monday and observed that an additional eight sub-inspector-ranked police officials are required to improve the security.
“Criminal activities on the trains or at the platforms under the Tatanagar railway police area could be curbed further if more police officials are posted here. At the moment, at least an additional eight sub-inspector ranked police officials are required here,” observed Palta while talking to the media person.
The senior railway police officer inspected Tatanagar railway police station and talked to the police about how to prevent criminal activities on the trains and also at the railway platforms.
During his hour-long visit to the Tatanagar station, Palta talked to the Tatanagar railway SP, Rishabh Jha and took stock of the existing number of police officials posted under his jurisdiction.
It may be mentioned here that Anil Palta had served as superintendent of police, Jamshedpur in the nineties.
