Ranchi, June 26: The Biobrio, an international journal of life sciences published as an official organ of Ranchi’s Centre of Social and Environmental Research (CSER), celebrated its tenth anniversary on Sunday.
The journal is published quarterly and has both print and online ISSNs [Print ISSN: 2393-9508, e-ISSN: 2582-4902]. During a CSER event in Ranchi, the new website (https://www.thebiobrio.in) was also launched, with updated features and easier access for authors and researchers.
Prasanjit Mukherjee, the head of the Botany department at Gumla’s K.O. College, will now be the Editor in Chief of The Biobrio, according to Jyoti Kumar, who has held this position for the last ten years.
Kumar would continue to serve as the journal’s executive editor and wished the team continued success.
Mukherjee stated that CSER launched the journal The Biobrio as an initiative to promote research and provide a platform for students and researchers to publish their research papers with guidance from an eminent editorial panel. Since its inception in 2014, the journal has published over 200 research articles from various academic and research institutes throughout the country. He is eager to take on the role of Editor-in-Chief and will ensure that the journal’s quality of articles is maintained and that it is indexed by various national and international agencies.
Mukherjee shared that the organization CSER, registered under Society Registration Act-1860, is functioning in the state of Jharkhand since 1996 with the motto to establish a society in which the people can enjoy a peaceful and strong societal interaction/affinity and to contribute to better environmental building with the cooperation of like-minded environment conscious academicians, researchers, and social activists.
