Three from Ranchi die in road mishap at GT’s Danua Ghati

Hazaribag, July 18: Eight people from Bariatu of Ranchi going to Varanasi with ‘Asthi Kalash’ met an accident in Danua Ghati on GT road killing three of them on the spot. The incident took place in Chouparan, around 55 km away from here.

Sources said eight persons were in an SUV going with ‘Asthi Kalash’. The SUV was hit by a speeding truck from behind near Danua Ghati which is now feared by commuters for regular accidents. The collision took place at such a high speed that the SUV driver lost control of the vehicle and it jumped the road falling into 30 feet deep Danua Ghati.

Three who died on the spot were identified as Yogesh Pratap (45), Naresh Singh (75) and Rajeev Kumar (50). Those sustained injuries are identified as driver Mohammad Furkan, Rishab, Santosh Shukla, Sharmanand Pandey and Neeraj.
