Ranchi: Three people were killed today over a minor dispute near Jhanjhi railway station of Gunja Devanjara Tola under the Ormanjhi police station.
The three people were killed by beating them with sticks, rods and crowbars in a dispute between two families. The deceased include Janeshwar Bedia (age 42), Sarita Devi (age 39) and Sanju Devi (age 25).
After receiving information about the incident, a large number of police forces have been deployed on the spot and the police have taken possession of all the three bodies and sent them for post-mortem.
According to the information, the crop grown in Janeshwar Bedia’s field was destroyed by his kin’s animal. After this, a dispute started between both the sides. Within no time the dispute escalated so much that both sides attacked each other with sticks. In this incident, three people died on the spot, while many people have been injured. The police reached the spot and are busy arresting the accused.
Rural SP Harish Bin Jama said that there was a dispute over grazing of crops by animals, in which three people were killed.
