Washington D.C.: Former President Donald Trump has sharply criticized Kamala Harris following her recent interview with CNN, her first major public appearance since joining the 2024 US presidential race after Joe Biden’s exit. Harris, 59, used the interview to accuse Trump of promoting an agenda that undermines American values and divides the nation, calling for a “new way forward.”
Trump responded vehemently to Harris’s comments, labeling her interview as “rambling incoherently” and dismissing it as “boring.” In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump attacked Harris’s policy positions, asserting that her values remain unchanged. He claimed that under Harris’s potential presidency, the US would face numerous challenges including open borders, free healthcare for illegal immigrants, sanctuary cities, and high tax rates, predicting that America would become a “wasteland.”
Trump also expressed eagerness for their upcoming debate on September 10, vowing to “expose” Harris as a fraud. He criticized her as the “greatest flip-flopper,” accusing her of changing her stance on critical issues like fracking and illegal migration.
In her defense, Harris has rejected accusations of inconsistency, particularly regarding her shifting positions on controversial topics. She has asserted that her policies are evolving in response to new information and changing circumstances.
The debate between Trump and Harris is anticipated to be a major event in the lead-up to the 2024 election, highlighting the stark contrasts between their respective platforms and visions for the future of the United States.
