Ramgarh, Feb 7: A horrific road accident occurred in Hazaribagh on Monday morning in which a passenger bus toppled near Chhalata, killing two persons. Five persons got critically hurt whereas 19 people sustained minor injuries in the mishap.

The family of one Lilo Sao of Kadma, Nawatand was going to Kauleshwari Pahar temple in Chatra for the ‘mundan’ ceremony of the child by a reserved vehicle.

Suddenly, the vehicle got out of control near the turning point on the Katkamsandi road and overturned. In this, six passengers including the driver of the vehicle were trapped beneath the vehicle.

After getting information about the incident, the police team reached the spot. The deceased has been identified as one Kauleshwar Sao and driver Yunus Mian. The bodies have been taken to Sadar Hospital Hazaribagh.

The condition of other passengers including Shobha Devi, Manju Devi, Sachin Kumar, and Babu Kumar is very critical. Apart from the family and the people of the village, some relatives were also aboard the bus. The injured were sent to the hospital for treatment.

After getting information about the incident, a crowd of nearby people gathered at the spot. After a struggle of about 3 hours, all the people in the vehicle were pulled out.

The place of occurrence has a sharp turn. The road is winding. Some people claimed that the driver did not understand this route properly and the vehicle went out of control, collided with the railing of the bridge, and fell.

On the other hand, some people claimed that the driver lost control due to a technical fault in the vehicle.  At that time, most of the people sitting in the car were sleeping.
