Jamshedpur, May 26: This summer South Eastern Railway is running two One Way Special trains between Chandigarh-Santragachi and Dibrugarh-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus.
Both trains would run via Tatanagar railway station.
The 04528 Chandigarh-Santragachi Special left Chandigarh around midnight and will reach Santragachi at 8.30 am on May 27, Saturday.
The Special train with two AC-3 tier and fourteen sleeper class coaches will have stoppages at Purulia, Tatanagar and Kharagpur in SER jurisdiction.
The second one-way special train – 05912 Dibrugarh-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Special will leave Dibrugarh at 5.25 am on May 27, Saturday and will reach Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 9.30 pm on May 29, Monday.
The Special train with one AC-3 tier, five sleeper class and nine general second class coaches will have stoppages at Kharagpur, Tatanagar, Chakradharpur, Rourkela and Jharsuguda in SER jurisdiction.
Functionaries of the Chhotanagpur Passenger Association and several other passenger outfits welcomed the decision of the Railway Board and South Eastern Railway for introducing the one-way special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers witnessed during this time of the season.
