Jamshedpur, Sept 30: Police today arrested two private security guards for allegedly stripping and assaulting a youth at a posh residential colony in Ghorabandha under suburban Govindpur thana area on Wednesday evening.
The victim who is a resident of an adjoining slum known as Manfitta had trespassed into the sprawling residential colony, Srinath Rock Garden and was caught while meeting nature’s call in a corner of its premises.
Moreover, having caught the youth, the security guards had not only assaulted having stripped the victim, but also had taken a video clipping of humiliated youth and made it viral.
As a result of such barbarism, the youth whom the guards had let go of later has gone missing. On the other hand, coming to know about the incident through the viral post, a group of Manfitta residents had swooped over the residential colony’s premises and assaulted one of the guards.
As the situation was taking an ugly turn, the police reached the spot in the night and controlled the situation by pressing QRT jawans at the troubled spot.
OC, Govindpur thana, RP Verma said they arrested two of the security guards this morning for their indulgence in the act of stripping and assaulting the youth.
“We have arrested two guards after carrying out an investigation this morning. The arrested guards were identified as Dilip Kumar and Rajiv Ranjan Singh,” said Verma.
The OC, on being questioned said the youth in question is still traceless.
“The victim might have concealed himself in humiliation after his video clipping was made viral by the security guards. We hope the victim will return home soon, ” said the OC, adding that the search for the missing victim is on.
