Hazaribag, May 3: Two security personnel were caught with marijuana (ganja) in Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Central Jail on Wednesday raising security concerns at this high-security prison. Sources said that both personnel have been suspended.
The security personnel are identified as Devendra Mishra and Nagendra Sharma. Earlier both the security personnel were in the army. Devendra Mishra had been caught with ‘Ganja’ earlier also. At that time, his duty was shifted from inside the jail to outside.
With jail officials tightlipped over this development, sources said this jail is having dreaded criminals to hardcore Naxalites as well. They said in the past also, security personnel of the jail were caught in similar wrong activities besides providing facilities to prisoners in violation of the jail manual.
