Two UPSC aspirants do Kolhan proud

Jamshedpur, Sep 25: Two UPSC aspirants of Kolhan- Kanishk Sharma from Jamshedpur and Abhinav Kumar from Chaibasa in West Singhbhum brought laurels for Kolhan as they secured all India 43rd and 360th rank in the finals of UPSC Civil Services Examination -2020, results of which was declared, late on Friday evening.

Kanishk Sharma of Jamshedpur is the son of former Tata Steel official Prabhat Sharma while Abhinav hails from a humble background. Abhinav’s father runs a bi-cycle  repairing shop in Chaibasa.

Kanishk did his schooling from Loyola and later did his engineering from BITS – Pilani. After getting a few years of corporate experience he is currently under training for Assistant Commissioner of Police in Delhi.

Abhinav completed his engineering from NIT – Kurukshetra and currently working at a bank.

Kanishk had tasted success last year too in UPSC exams when result of 89 students was released in the reserve category of Civil Services Examination-2019.

Abhinav, a resident of  Naya Bazar in Chaibasa cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination in the second attempt. In the first attempt, he got revenue services.

Jharkhand students did well in the prestigious UPSC examination.

Utkarsh Kumar of Hazaribagh got 55th rank while Bhavna Kumari and Pooja Kumari of Bundu in Ranchi district got 376th and 472nd rank.

Yash Jaluka of Dhanbad topped the state with an astounding 4th rank.
