Ramgarh, July 8: A plywood businessman named Sujit Dev was brutally murdered by unidentified criminals in the Guru Gobind Singh Road of Hazaribagh Sadar police station area last night.

According to the information, the criminals broke into his house late on Thursday night to kill him. They stabbed Sujit several times with a sharp-edged weapon. After the murder, the criminals left by locking the gate from outside.

Sujit Dev’s elder brother Ajit Dev informed the police about the incident.

Sujit’s phone was switched-off since 10:00 pm on Thursday. He used to live alone. In the morning, when the gate was locked from outside, the family members got apprehensive and then informed the police.

The police reached the spot and found traces of blood on the stairs. According to them, the criminals have also tampered with CCTV and DVR. The room has been sealed for investigation.
