The Deputy commissioner highly appreciated the cooperation of officers and staff in joining ‘Go Green’ campaign and said the use of leaf made plates and bowls for eating would unleash a positive impression on common people in Deoghar as well as in other districts.
Bhajantri said following a ban on thermocol made items near Babadham temple area and in some pockets of the Municipal Corporation has increased demand for leaf-made plates and bowls. It has also enhanced the scope of employment in the rural areas of the district.
“For last three to four decades thermocol made plates and bowls, that have replaced traditional leaf made plates, are main sources of different diseases.
