His friend and producer Kaleem Khan confirmed the news. He claims that approximately 15 days had passed since Nitin was admitted to the hospital and placed on a ventilator.
On December 3, the producer suffered a massive heart attack and was rushed to the hospital in Navi Mumbai.
After being admitted to the hospital, he remained on the ventilator until this morning. He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter. The 60-year-old producer is the son of the late actor Manmohan, who featured in films such as Brahmachari, Gumnaam and Naya Zamana.
The veteran filmmaker was known for backing movies such as Bol Radha Bol (1992), Laadla (1994), Yamla Pagla Deewana (2011) and many more.
Nitin Manmohan’s son Soham, who stays in Dubai, had flown down to India on November 3 and has also been constantly in the hospital by his father’s side.
Notably, actor Akshaye Khanna was one of the first celebrities to reach out to the family when he came to know about the producer’s ailment. The two had worked together on films like Deewangee and Gali Gali Chor Hai among others.
