New Delhi, Feb 7: Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the development efforts of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP’double-engine’ )’s government on Monday, saying that when the country celebrates its 100th year of independence, UP will be ready with a success storey of growth.

He also said that he want that in the next 25 yrs, when nation would complete 100 yrs of independence, UP should make a mark with its development story.

The PM apologized to the people for not able to attend the rally physically.

“After some relaxation by the EC, I had thought of beginning my campaign by coming to Bijnor (UP) in person. But due to weather conditions, my helicopter couldn’t leave and I could see you only through video conferencing once again,” said PM.

“All they did was to keep quenching their own thirst and that of their close ones. They kept quenching the thirst of their own coffers. This selfish thirst soaks all streams of the river of development,” said PM Narendra Modi addresses a rally in Bijnor via video conferencing.

“The water in the river of development in UP was stagnant. It was stagnating among the fake ‘Samajwadis’ and their close ones. These people never had anything to do with the thirst of the development of common man, the thirst of progress, the thirst of freedom from poverty, he added.

Notably, the Prime Minister was expected to address party members in 21 constituencies across three districts in the second phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections in 2022. However, because to inclement weather, PM Modi’s physical rally was cancelled. The BJP state unit, which set up large LED screens in 109 divisions, transmitted his virtual address live.
