Ranchi: The weather in Jharkhand is expected to take another U-turn as temperature fluctuations continue through February. According to the Meteorological Department, there could be a drop of 3 to 5 degrees Celsius in the minimum temperature after February 8. Before that, fog and mist in the mornings may cause a slight dip in temperature, but clear skies during the day may lead to a 2 to 3-degree increase in daytime temperatures.

Colder Nights Ahead

• Night temperatures may decline further, making mornings and evenings chilly.

• Last year, on February 4, 2024, Ranchi recorded a maximum temperature of 26.2°C and a minimum of 11°C, according to meteorological data.

• February 20, 2024, was the warmest day of the month, with a maximum temperature of 30.1°C. However, this record was broken on February 2, 2025, when Ranchi recorded 30.2°C, marking an early heatwave trend.

What to Expect?

🔹 Temperature drops expected at night, keeping mornings and evenings chilly.

🔹 Daytime temperatures to rise due to clear skies.

🔹 Fog and mist may persist in the early morning hours.

🔹 February’s temperature trends show earlier heatwave conditions than last year.
