WhatsApp assures Jharkhand HC of proper help in judge Uttam Anand death probe

Ranchi, April 1: WhatsApp assured proper help to the CBI in the investigation of Judge Uttam Anand’s death case.

 

Senior advocate Kapil Sibal appearing on behalf of Whatsapp promised the same to the division bench of Chief Justice Dr Ravi Ranjan and Justice S.N.Prasad.

 

Sibal had appeared in the court after the high court during the last hearing issued India head of the social networking app directing him to appear after it was informed to the court that the chat details are not being provided by the social networking app management.

 

After assurance from Sibal, the hearing in the case was deferred for a week.

 

On July 28 last year Judge Uttam Anand died after an unidentified auto rickshaw knocked him coming from the backside when he was on a morning walk outside Magistrate Colony near Randhir Verma Chowk in coal city Dhanbad.
