Jamshedpur, Aug 3: Police on Thursday arrested a 32-year-old woman Zarin Bano for allegedly strangulating her husband to death at their house at Islamnagar under Kapali thana out post in the adjoining Seraikela-Kharsawan.
The assailant Zarin Bano had earlier in a statement given to the police said that her husband Mohammed Shahbaz committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling fan in the night of August 1.
The OC, Kapali thana TOP said that Mohammed Shahbaz had serious dispute with Zarin Bano as he had relation with another woman and wanted to marry her after giving divorce to her.
The police said as Shahbaz was an alcoholic, in the eventful night he had come back home having consumed liquor.
“While the victim was in deep sleep under the influence of liquor, Zarin strangulated him with a rope. Later, she rushed her husband to MGM medical college hospital, claiming that he has hung himself from the ceiling fan,” ” said the OC while talking to lagatar24.com.
