Jamshedpur, May 23: XLRI’s ExPGDM batch of 2021-22 will be conducting the second edition of ClockSpeed, the B-school’s flagship Operations and Supply Chain Conclave on May 29.
This would be a virtual event and the theme for the conclave is ‘Creating Value through a Sustainable Supply Chain’. The conclave is facilitated by the XLRI ExPGDM Student Placement Committee.

The Operations and Supply Chain Conclave will be inaugurated by Raghu Tata who is the chairperson of Father Arrupe Centre for Ecology & Sustainability and associate professor of Strategic Management at XLRI Jamshedpur.
After Raghu Tata’s welcome address, the chief guest Prashant Yadav, affiliate professor of Technology and Operations Management at INSEAD and senior fellow at the Center for Global Development and Lecturer at Harvard Medical School, will share his insights on “Musings on Supply Chains that Saves Lives and Improve Sustainability”.
This would be followed by a keynote address by Ranjan Sinha, chief group Shipping, Tata Steel on the topic “Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity: How to best position people, process and technology to define supply chain vision for 2025 and beyond”.
The day will move ahead with an expert opinion session on the topic, “Do Supply Chains run the risk of Disruption due to ESG concerns?”
This will be a panel discussion comprising eminent leaders such as Jasmeet Singh Marwah, Vice President, Moglix, Naresh Babu, Director – Business Finance and Head Procurement, Snapdeal, Arvind Singh Rana, partner, Vector Consulting Group, and Ms Richa Pant, Founder, Harmony INC. The discussion will be moderated by Bijaya K Mangaraj, professor, Production, Operations and Decision Sciences Area, Jamshedpur.
Post lunch, the first session would be yet another expert opinion segment in the form of a panel discussion addressing the topic, “Can Digital accelerate our Journey to Net Zero?”.
The panel for the discussion would consist of luminaries such as Shom Chatterjee, vice-president – Head of Procurement & Logistics, ITC Limited, Shailen Shukla, Chief Logistic Officer, Pictruc, Ms Neha Parekh, Head of Logistics, Godrej Consumer Product Ltd. and Mr Vivek Bhatia, MD & CEO, Thyssenkrupp.
The discussion would be moderated by Sayan Mukherjee, assistant professor, Production, Operations and Decision Sciences, XLRI Jamshedpur.
After the session would be a keynote address by Shubhrangsu Dutta, director – Femcare Supply Chain, Procter and Gamble on “Supply Chain Resilience”.
This would be followed by an expert opinion session which would be a panel discussion among the who’s who of the industry such as Niraj Ambani, Group President- Supply Chain, Reliance Industries Limited, Nishith Rastogi, Founder & CEO, Locus, Pradeep Jadhav, Co-Founder and Director, Thoucentric and Saibal Nag, asst. vice -president (Supply Chain Modernisation), Bennett Coleman and Co. Ltd. (The Times Group).
The topic for the discussion would be “Will Sustainability bind Leaders, Customers and Investors to seek long-term Value?” and it would be moderated by Abhishek Chakraborty, professor, Production, Operations and Decision Sciences, XLRI Jamshedpur.
The one-day ExPGDM flagship Operations and Supply Chain Conclave looks forward to hosting an eclectic mix of industry professionals, academia and students across the country.
