Ramgarh, May 23: A one-day Karate competition was organized in the auditorium of Sahu Dharamshala located on Gola Road. The competition was organized under the aegis of the Ramgarh District Karate-Do Association.
A total of 175 karate players from different regions of Ramgarh district participated in the competition.
Former sports minister of Jharkhand state Amar Kumar Bauri was the chief guest and Anmol Singh, former vice-president of Cantonment board, youth leader Rajiv Jaiswal, social worker Nandu Gupta and Lalan Kumar were mainly present in the competition.
The inauguration of the competition was done by jointly lighting the lamp by the chief guest and the distinguished guests. While addressing the opening ceremony of the event, Chief Guest Amar Kumar Bauri said, “Karate is one such art of martial arts which has emerged as a well-known sport along with self-defence in the present times.” He also appealed to all the parents present there to encourage sports like karate.
During the competition, other guests also addressed the players and encouraged them.
To make the above competition successful, the jury included the President of Ramgarh District Karate-Do Association Narendra Sinha, Secretary Shashi Pandey, Chairman of Referee Commission Sanjay Sonkar, Sumit Kumar and others. A large number of Karate players, parents and dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
