Lucknow, March 25: Yogi Adityanath on Friday took oath as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for the second term at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Notably, Adityanath is the first Chief Minister to return to power in the state in 37 years after serving a complete five-year term.

Earlier today, Adityanath met with Governor Anandiben Patel, who was elected as the BJP’s legislative leader.

Before the oath-taking ceremony begins, cultural festivities are being held. The stadium has been transformed into a massive stage, complete with garlands in colours of orange and yellow. The event was attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and CMs of BJP-ruled states.
