Ranchi, Sept.7: A youth killed his elder brother for the latter’s extramarital relationship with a woman.
The matter came to the fore today after police arrested Asim Topno (28) in a murder case registered after the murder of his elder brother Anil Topno (40) at Kolebira police station of Simdega district in Jharkhand on September 6.
Simdega SP Shams Tabrez shared the information with the media explaining the circumstances under which the youth committed the crime.
“Asim told us that his brother had extramarital affairs with a woman of Barasloya Kubitoli for the last four years. Taking this a meeting was also organised in his village, Barasloya Tangartoli, and villagers had restrained his brother from going to the woman’s village. But despite that, his brother did not change. He continued his relationship with the woman. His behaviour often used to cause tension in the family. A week ago his wife had left the house following a dispute on the matter. In the absence of his wife he never used to take care of his children. All this made Asim upset and he attacked his brother with a spade when he was sleeping at the residence of Kanak Ram in the same village,” S.P Tabrez said.
