Daltonganj, July 31: A YouTuber identified as Tipu Khan has been caught and jailed by the police in Garhwa district on charges of using insulting, defamatory and acrimonious content in respect of the persons holding constitutional position in the state of Jharkhand.
Confirming this today, Garhwa SP Anjani Kumar Jha said the YouTuber Tipu Khan has been booked under the SC /ST Prevention of Atrocities Act, sections of the IPC and sections of the IT Act.
The SP said the content that Khan aired was highly objectionable, insulting, derogatory and full of acrimony and highly caste biased.
He further said there were extremely disparaging remarks and acidic comments about the persons he so attacked by his content.
He further said a local under the Ranka block had lodged a written complaint about this with the Ranka police station following which the police took this action.
The police have begun an investigation as to how many forwarded this malicious content with the intent to assassinate the character and image of the persons concerned as carried out by Khan in his Bhokal YouTube, said the SP.
