Jamshedpur, March 8: The Tata Steel Zoological Park ( TSZP ) located inside the picturesque Jubilee Park, which was closed for Covid-19 related restrictions, re-opened today.
From April, the zoo Will have one more entry gate. The new entry gate will come at the Marine Drive, the decision for which was taken last year.
The work for setting up the entry gate from Marine Drive is being carried out by JUSCO, a subsidiary of Tata Steel.
Tata Steel Zoological Park was inaugurated on March 3, 1994 and is situated in one corner of Jubilee Park.
The zoo is known for its Safari Park, which enables tourists to drive through the wooded area, where animals roam freely.
Tourists can also visit the Nature Education Centre in the zoo which gives information about the zoo animals. Other attractions are boat ride in the Jubilee Lake and walk along the nature trail.
Visitors have expressed their happiness over re-opening of the zoo.
