Ranchi, July 14: New Ranchi Senior Superintendent of Police Kaushal Kishore assumed office on Thursday as he was handed over the charge by outgoing SSP Surendra Jha amid the presence of police officers.
The outgoing SSP was asked to speak something after he gave the charge to the new SSP. On this, he said ‘Thank You.
Media persons were not satisfied with these words and insisted he shares something regarding his experience as SSP in Jharkhand capital for two years. However, he did not budge and left his office with a smile saying that the new SSP will talk to them.
As old SSP Jha left. new SSP counted his priorities saying he will pay proper attention to the redressal of grievances of people and ensure such an atmosphere that people do not hesitate in coming to the police for any kind of help.
He said he will better the best initiative taken in the district for proper policing. He promised to give sensitive, transparent and impartial policing in the district. He expressed his commitment to timely disposal of cases and control on organised crime.
Asked about challenges that he sees, Kishore, who earlier worked as SP (city), said maintenance of law and order due to attention to VIP movement and keeping vigil on other activities.
