Patna, Aug 10: Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, broke with the BJP on Tuesday and was chosen to lead the RJD-led Grand Alliance on Wednesday. Sushil Kumar Modi, the leader of the saffron party, predicted that the new government would fall before its time in office in 2025.
Modi, who has known Kumar and RJD leader Lalu Prasad for 50 years, also said that the JD(U) leader insulted both him and the Bihar voters who supported the NDA.
The former deputy chief minister claimed during a press conference that Kumar would “leave the RJD and try to split it, taking advantage of RJD president Lalu Prasad’s illness.”
He denied the JD(Uallegations )’s that RCP Singh was involved in a “conspiracy,” asserting that Nitish Kumar’s approval was secured by Union Home Minister Amit Shah before the former Union minister was appointed to the cabinet.
“De-facto CM is Tejashwi Yadav, Nitish Kumar is just the titular Head. They (RJD) have a strength of 80,you have 45-46. Everyone knows how Lalu Yadav works. Nitish Kumar will be CM just for show & real CM will be Tejashwi Yadav,” said Sushil Modi, BJP RS MP & former Deputy CM.
