Patna, Sept 19: Another shooting incident has been reported in Bihar’s Vaishali, days after a shooting spree left one person dead and nine others injured in Begusarai.

On Sunday night, Marai Road was the scene of gunfire from two bike-riding miscreants before they fled in the direction of Rajendra Chowk, according to sources. There was panic in the area as a result of the random shooting, although nobody was hurt.

When the Vaishali city police arrived, they immediately began an inquiry to find criminals.

The incident drew immediate criticism from the Bharatiya Janata Party. Shehzad Poonawalla, a BJP spokeswoman, asserted on Twitter that “the RJD-JDU administration has given criminals a green card.” He claimed that jungle raj had returned to Bihar and that the current administration has given criminals a “empowered” feeling.

Notably, there has been an increase in open shooting events in Bihar lately. One person was killed and nine others were hurt when two bike-borne attackers opened fire indiscriminately at a number of targets in Begusarai just last week. Following the two gunmen’s rampage, at least seven police officers in the district were suspended for neglect of duty.
