West Bokaro: Tata Steel organises inter-dept badminton championship

Ramgarh, Nov 18: Tata Steel West Bokaro Division organised Inter-Department Badminton Championship from November 16-17 at West Bokaro.

5 teams participated in the championship from Q-AB, Q-SEB, General Services, Engineering Services and Coal Beneficiation Group.

The final match was played between the teams of Coal Beneficiation and Quarry SEB on November 17 which the team of Quarry SEB won the Inter-Departmental Badminton Championship trophy by defeating the team of Coal Beneficiation by a margin of 2-0 sets.

Mrinal Bhadra, Chief, Quarry SEB, West Bokaro Division, Tata Steel, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the Final Match and awarded trophies and prizes to the winning and runner-up teams.

Kunal Sharan, Head, Operation, Quarry SE, Hemang Trivedi, Head, Maintenance, Quarry SEB, Rohit Prasad, Head, Administration and Baban Singh, Vice President, Rashtriya Colliery Mazdoor Union were present on the occasion.

People from the sports department including Rajeev Ranjan Singh, Dukhiya Manjhi, MD Rafiq, RA Singh and SK Jha were involved in making this event successful.
