Kathmandu, Dec 23: French serial killer Charles Sobhraj walked out of jail in Nepal on Friday days after the country’s Supreme Court ordered his release.
Sobhraj, a 78-year-old serial killer, is suspected of killing more than 20 Western backpackers on the ‘hippie trail’ through Asia, usually by drugging their food or drink in the course of robbing them.
As per the information, the process of obtaining Sobhraj’s passport and visa is underway. The serial killer owns the passports of several countries, so the visa procedures can only begin after the French embassy identifies his real passport.
