Jamshedpur, Jan 5: Rare coins and currency notes would be on display during a three-day exhibition Jamcoin-2023 at the Bistupur- based Tulsi Bhavan. The exhibition, one of the most sought-after events in the Jamshedpur calendar could not take place during the last two years due to the Covid- 19 pandemic.

This will be the 28th edition of the annual numismatics and philately exhibition organised by the Coin Collectors Club of Jamshedpur. With several currency and coin dealers, from places like Kolkata, Mumbai and Patna, the three-day event is expected to witness good footfall this year.

Notably, Jamcoin will be a veritable treasure trove of history. Coins on display will include rare coins ( smallest, lightest), ancient coins, coins of the medieval period etc and various currency notes.

The organisers informed us that students would be able to participate in various contests to be organised during the exhibition.
