New Delhi, Jan 21: Six people were injured in twin blasts in the Narwal area of Jammu on Saturday morning, police said. The blasts were reported in yard number 7 of Transport Nagar of Narwal, known as a hub of trucks. The injured have been evacuated to the hospital. The nature of the blasts is yet to be determined.

“The whole area has been cordoned off and the injured evacuated to hospital,” PTI quoted a police official as saying.

An official said that two back-to-back blasts occurred near the bus yard of Transport Nagar in Narwal today morning. Meanwhile, ADG Police Jammu, Mukesh Singh also confirmed the incident.

The blasts occurred at a time when Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra is passing through Jammu and just four days ahead of Republic day.

Further details awaited.
