Pachmarhi, April 2: An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6 on the Richter scale struck Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh about 11 a.m. on Sunday. The earthquakes, according to the National Institute for Seismology (NCS), were felt 218 kilometres away at Pachmarhi.
Taking to Twitter, the nodal agency for monitoring earthquake activity said, “Earthquake of magnitude:3.6, Occurred on 02-04-2023, 11:00:36 IST, Lat: 23.22 & Long: 80.40, Depth: 23 km, Location: 218 km ENE of Pachmarhi, Madhya Pradesh, India.”

No damage was reported.
Earlier, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands’ Portblair had an earthquake measuring 4.0 on April 1, according to the NCS. According to the NCS, a second 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck Kargil in Ladakh on March 31.
