Sheopur, May 23: The officials reported the death of a cheetah cub in Kuno National Park on Tuesday.

The number of young cubs in the park reduced from four to three, according to the Kuno forest ranger.

“The Forest department team is engaged in ascertaining the cause of death,” he added.

Jwala, a female cheetah brought from Namibia, gave birth to four cubs in March of this year at Kuno National Park in the Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh.

Notably, three cheetahs have already perished at the National Park in recent months, casting questions on the Kuno management and administration.

On September 17, last year, the day of his birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the eight cheetahs brought from Namibia into Kuno National Park.

Later, on February 18, 12 more Cheetahs were brought over from South Africa and rehabilitated in Kuno National Park.
