Andaman and Nicobar, August 7: The National Centre for Seismology said that a 4.5-magnitude earthquake was felt 150 kilometers north of Diglipur on the island of Andaman & Nicobar on Monday.
There were tremors at 12:53:24 Indian Standard Time (IST).
The earthquake’s depth was 10 kilometres, according to NCS.
“Earthquake of Magnitude: 4.5, Occurred on 07-08-2023, 12:53:24 IST, Lat: 9.18 & Long: 93.95, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Andaman Sea,” NCS tweeted.

An earlier earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 shook the Andaman and Nicobar Islands early on Thursday, an official statement said.
The earthquake struck the islands at 4:17 am on Thursday.
The earthquake took place at a depth of 61 kilometres, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).
