Bihar: Retired teacher shot dead in Begusarai, was witness in son’s murder

Begusarai, Aug 20: In Begusarai, Bihar, a retired school teacher was allegedly shot and killed by unidentified individuals over a property dispute, police stated on Sunday.

Officials say that the event happened close to Fateha Halt Railway Station within the jurisdiction of Bachhwara Police Station.

70-year-old Jawahar Choudhary, who was killed, was a retired teacher and a resident of Fateha village.

Police said that about two years earlier, the miscreants also killed the deceased’s son over a dispute involving a piece of property.

“Deceased, Jawahar Choudhary was a witness in his son’s murder case. His son was shot dead,” police said adding that more inquiries concerning the event are ongoing.
