Jamshedpur, Aug 24: Tata Steel congratulated the Union government, and the entire ISRO team behind the Chandrayaan-3 lunar exploration mission for the successful landing on the moon yesterday.
The steel major is proud to be a part of India’s lunar exploration mission Chandrayaan-3, as the company’s state-of-the-art crane technology enabled the assembly of the mission’s “Fat Boy” – LVM3-M4 rocket.
The advanced crane was manufactured at Tata Growth Shop in Jamshedpur. The Company’s cutting-edge crane technology played a crucial role in the seamless assembly of the launch vehicle used in the landmark lunar mission.
Tata Steel supplied the remarkable Electric Overhead Traveling (EOT) Crane which was installed at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre – Sriharikota ISRO.
“Through its contribution to the launch of Chandrayaan-3, Tata Steel reaffirms its commitment to fostering India’s technological advancement and growth,” said a spokesperson of Tata Steel.
Meanwhile, as India’s chest swells with pride on the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3, N Chandrasekaran, chairman, Tata Sons said, “Proud moment for every Indian and a momentous milestone in India’s space and technology journey. Congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and team ISRO. This will inspire generations.”
Meanwhile, NIT – Jamshedpur director Prof. Goutam Sutradhar in his congratulatory message on the success of the lunar mission said, “Historic day for India’s space sector. Congratulations to all Indians especially the ISRO chairman, scientists and officials of this goal for the first time safely, successfully and soft landing of Chandrayaan- 3 on the moon. This is a great achievement for every Indian and great efforts of Indian Scientists supported by the government of India.”
