Athens, Aug 25: During his lengthy daylong visit to Greece on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with his counterpart Kyriakos Mitsotakis and held a bilateral meeting.
Along with the two leaders, the meeting included Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis and Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.
PM Modi earlier spoke with Katerina Sakellaropoulou, the President of Greece.
The Greek President extended his congratulations to Prime Minister Modi for the achievement of India’s Chandrayaan-3 lunar mission. In response to her congratulatory message, PM Modi said, “The success of Chandrayaan-3 is not only of India alone but it is a success for the whole of humankind… The results of the data collected by the Chandrayaan-3 mission will help the entire scientific fraternity and humankind.”
PM Modi paid respects at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Athens today to mark the start of his trip to Greece. Later, he was presented with a ceremonial guard of honour.
