New Delhi: The ongoing investigation into the shocking murder of national-level tennis player Radhika Yadav has taken a new turn after her postmortem report contradicted crucial details stated in the FIR. The report revealed that Radhika sustained four gunshot wounds to her chest, contrary to earlier claims that her father, Deepak Yadav, shot her three times from behind.
Autopsy Findings Challenge Initial Narrative
Dr Deepak Mathur, surgeon and member of the Government Hospital Board, confirmed to India Today via phone that all bullets were lodged in Radhika’s chest and have been retrieved for forensic examination. “Radhika was shot four times, all wounds were in the chest,” Dr Mathur stated, underlining the contradiction with the FIR’s description.
This discrepancy has cast serious doubt on Deepak Yadav’s confession, in which he allegedly admitted to shooting his daughter from behind. The autopsy findings suggest a frontal assault, prompting investigators to re-examine the circumstances and sequence of events leading to Radhika’s death.
Family Dispute and Social Pressures Cited as Possible Motives
Radhika Yadav, 25, was reportedly killed on Thursday morning in what police believe stemmed from long-standing family tensions. According to sources, Deepak Yadav was distressed by villagers’ taunts and had repeatedly pressured his daughter to close her tennis academy. Radhika’s refusal allegedly escalated tensions, culminating in the fatal shooting.
Sources also indicate that Radhika’s growing interest in becoming a social media influencer may have contributed to the conflict. Following her death, a music video titled “KARWAAN” featuring Radhika has surfaced, adding a new layer of speculation regarding potential motives behind the murder.
As investigators await ballistic reports and further forensic analysis, the contradictory details revealed in the postmortem report are expected to play a critical role in determining the truth in this high-profile case.
