Ranchi: Preparations are in full swing for the upcoming visit of India’s President Draupadi Murmu to Ranchi on July 31 and August 1, 2025. The district administration has begun finalizing arrangements, with a crucial review meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Manjunath Bhajantri held at the collectorate auditorium.
Focused Discussion on Key Preparations
The meeting covered important aspects including security arrangements, traffic management, hospitality, and readiness of event venues. The Deputy Commissioner issued clear directives to all departments, emphasizing that the presidential visit must be conducted flawlessly and with dignity. He reviewed critical matters such as sanitation, health services, drinking water supply, toilet facilities, parking management, fire safety, and security along the designated routes, instructing timely completion of all tasks. The police administration was asked to maintain heightened vigilance.

Deputy Commissioner Bhajantri appealed to officials to perform their duties with alertness and sensitivity, ensuring regular monitoring and progress reviews of the preparations. Senior police superintendent Chandan Kumar Sinha, Additional District Magistrate Rajeshwarnath Alok, Sadar Sub-Divisional Officer Utkarsh Kumar, Traffic Police Superintendent Kailash Karmali, Civil Surgeon Dr. Prabhat Kumar, District Public Relations Officer Urvashi Pandey, along with other key department officials were present at the meeting.
