Patna: RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav launched a sharp attack on Tejashwi Yadav and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over the Voter Rights Yatra. In a video posted on social media platform X, Tej Pratap questioned whether the yatra was meant to save democracy or weaken it.
Warning to Tejashwi
Tej Pratap alleged that he was unsure if Tejashwi and Rahul were safeguarding democracy or tearing it apart. His remarks came in connection with the alleged attack on the driver of Nabiganj MLA Vijay Kumar Singh and a journalist. Referring to this incident, Tejashwi had earlier condemned the act, calling it an attack by “Jaichands.” Tej Pratap, however, warned his younger brother to remain cautious. He said, “There is still time—beware of the Jaichands around you, otherwise the election results will not be favorable. The results will decide how wise you are.”
Political Implications of the Attack Remark
The incident mentioned by Tej Pratap reportedly took place in Aurangabad district, where the driver of Nabiganj MLA and a journalist were assaulted. Although the full circumstances of the attack are not yet clear, Tej Pratap linking it to “Jaichands” has sparked debate in political circles. His statement has widened the rift within RJD and added fuel to speculations about internal conflicts ahead of elections.
