Patna: Bihar politics has once again heated up after RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav accused Anushka Yadav’s brother Akash Yadav and some “Jaichands” of plotting to damage his political image by making his photos viral.
Tej Pratap’s Serious Allegations
Tej Pratap alleged that Akash Yadav, along with a few others, deliberately circulated his pictures to tarnish his reputation. He asserted that such conspiracies could not end his political career. “They don’t know my name is Tej Pratap Yadav. People like you cannot finish my political life. Instead, I will move ahead with greater strength,” he declared.
Warning to Political Opponents
He further warned that no matter how big the conspiracy, his opponents would never succeed. Announcing his next move, Tej Pratap said he would conduct a public outreach campaign across Bihar through “Team Tej Pratap Yadav” and contest the upcoming elections with full strength. He openly challenged rivals, saying, “Now, whoever wants to complain should come to the ground and face me.”
Open Challenge on Social Media
Tej Pratap shared a video on his X handle, challenging Akash Yadav and others, asserting that their attempts to trap him would fail. He remarked, “You won’t be able to jump for long; your tricks will not work on me.”
Controversial Photo Incident
On May 25, 2025, a photo of Tej Pratap and Anushka Yadav was posted on his Facebook account with a claim that they had been in a relationship for 12 years. The post caused a stir in political and family circles, but it was later deleted with Tej Pratap clarifying that his account was hacked.
Expulsion from Party and Family Rift
Following the viral photo controversy, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav expelled Tej Pratap from the party for six years and distanced him from the family. His siblings Tejashwi Yadav and Rohini Acharya supported their father’s decision, deepening the rift within the Yadav family.
