Patna: On the final day of campaigning for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan held a massive roadshow in Patna, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of BJP supporters chanting slogans in his favour.
Chouhan Targets Opposition, Calls Mahagathbandhan Corrupt
Speaking to the media before the event, Chouhan launched a scathing attack on the RJD and Mahagathbandhan, saying, “This is not a Grand Alliance but a Grand Deception (Mahathagbandhan). Half of their leaders are in jail and the other half are out on bail.”
He further ridiculed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, remarking that “when he visits Bihar, he either goes fishing or fries jalebi,” suggesting the opposition was directionless and unprepared for the electoral challenge. Chouhan predicted a major defeat for the alliance in the upcoming polls.
‘Tejashwi Yadav Is the Leader of Liars,’ Says Chouhan
Continuing his attack, Chouhan took aim at Tejashwi Yadav, calling him “the leader of liars.” He said, “He is holding press conferences today because he knows defeat is certain. Seeing their loss, they are making random announcements. The people of Bihar know their false promises well.”
Top BJP Leaders Join Campaign Trail
Alongside Chouhan, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Bihar Minister Nitin Nabin, and BJP leader Anurag Thakur also conducted roadshows in Patna to boost the party’s campaign momentum.
