Patna: Nitish Kumar is poised to become the next Chief Minister of Bihar once again after being unanimously elected as the leader of the NDA Legislature Party during a key meeting held in Patna this afternoon.
Unanimous Support For Nitish Kumar
At the meeting, attended by MLAs from the JD(U), BJP, LJP (Ram Vilas), HAM, and RLSP, BJP leader Samrat Choudhary formally proposed Nitish Kumar’s name for the top post. The proposal was accepted unanimously, paving the way for his 10th term as Chief Minister.
Following his election, Nitish Kumar is expected to visit Raj Bhavan to submit his resignation to Governor Arif Mohammad Khan as head of the outgoing government, and thereafter stake claim to form the new NDA government.
Path Cleared For Swearing-In Ceremony
With NDA’s fresh mandate and legislative endorsement, Nitish Kumar’s swearing-in ceremony is set to take place shortly, marking yet another chapter in his long political journey in Bihar. The NDA alliance, buoyed by its strong electoral performance, is preparing to form the new government with Nitish at the helm.
