Patna: Leader of Jan Shakti Janata Dal and former minister Tej Pratap Yadav has filed an FIR at Secretariat police station in Patna against former IPS officer Amitabh Kumar Das. The complaint alleges that Das posted misleading and objectionable content about Yadav on his digital channel, aiming to tarnish Yadav’s public image.
Allegations of False and Defamatory Remarks
On social media, Tej Pratap claimed that Das made baseless and reprehensible remarks about his personal and family life — allegations he described as unfortunate, unexpected and unbearable. He said it was reprehensible for a former senior officer to make such indecorous comments, and felt compelled to seek legal action.
Reference to Past Controversies Against Das
Yadav also noted that Das has a history of being involved in controversies. He referenced the “Shabnam case” to highlight Das’s past pattern of provocative public statements and conduct. Yadav said that legal action against such reckless individuals is necessary to preserve public dignity and accountability.
