Ranchi: Senior Congress leader and Jharkhand Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore has publicly questioned his own party’s decisions and working style, bringing internal dissent within the state Congress into the open.
Double Standards Alleged Within the Party
Addressing party leader K. Raju, Kishore pointed out glaring inconsistencies in how the party treats its own members. He highlighted that Barkagaon leader and former minister Yogendra Sao was expelled for three years, while Rama Khalko — who had openly criticized the party and its leadership — was instead appointed as a member of the election management committee.
Workers Left Confused by Unequal Treatment
Kishore stated that such contradictory decisions are creating confusion among party workers and raising serious questions about the party’s internal policy. He warned that treating leaders of the same party differently can weaken the organization as a whole.
Questions Over Oversized Committee
The Finance Minister also raised concerns over the formation of a 314-member committee for Jharkhand’s 81-seat assembly, questioning how effective such a large body could realistically be and suggesting that its impact would only be known with time.
Call for Clear Leadership and Lessons from Election Results
Kishore urged the state Congress to draw lessons from recent election results. He suggested that instead of forming a jumbo committee, the party should take clear and decisive decisions regarding state leadership — only then can the organization be truly strengthened.
