New Delhi: The BJP has attacked Rahul Gandhi over his Vietnam trip and a regime-change post by Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut, and accused the Congress of conspiring with foreign organisations to spread chaos and bring about a change of power in India.
Spokesperson Questions Meeting with Progressive International
BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari, in a post on X, questioned a meeting held on April 28, 2025 at 10 Janpath between Rahul and Sonia Gandhi and representatives of Progressive International (PI). He alleged that Rahul Gandhi and the Congress are running on the remote control of foreign anti-democratic forces.
Cites Investigative Report on Coordinated Messaging
Bhandari cited an investigative report titled “Global Chaos Inc Grows to 101 Groups,” which he said shows how PI coordinated similar messaging strategies across protests in France, Albania and India, with the aim of regime change through fresh uprisings. He asked whether the Congress was working with PI during the protests and what messages were being exchanged between the two. Referring to Gandhi’s Vietnam trip, he asked whether it was linked to taking instructions from such organisations for a November 1 protest.
BJP Says Such Plots Will Fail
Bhandari said no conspiracy of regime change, violence or anarchy will succeed under the Modi government, describing Indian democracy as secure under the Prime Minister and saying attempts to spread chaos on the streets through violence will fail.
