Patna, Feb 1:Criminals shot a youth in Patna City early Tuesday morning. People hurriedly admitted the injured youth to a nearby nursing home for treatment where his condition remains critical.
After the incident, the police of Chowk police station reached the spot and began the investigation. The youth has been identified as Ranjit Chowdhary of Kawakol area of Patna City Police Station area.
Chowdhary had gone out for a morning walk on Tuesday morning. During this, three youths reached the spot and opened fire at him and then fled after the victim fell on the ground. People nearby realized what was happening and helped the youth by taking him to the private nursing home nearby.
Chowk police station in-charge Gauri Shankar Gupta said that Ranjit Chaudhary has a criminal history for a long time.
In the year 2019, notably, Ranjit Chaudhary was an accused in the Shankar Patel murder case and has been to jail. After the incident, the police began investigating the matter. The police are also thoroughly scrutinizing the CCTV footage from around the spot.
